The 5^th annual Downtown Yakima Chalk Art Festival will be held Saturday, October 12^th. The event begins at 11:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm this Saturday.

The Downtown Association of Yakima (DAY) is hosting the chalk art festival. It anticipates about 100 participants and more than 1,000 spectators for the event, which will be held on North 3^rd Street between Yakima Avenue and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way.

As a result, North 3^rd Street will be closed to traffic from Yakima Avenue to Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way. In addition, Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way will be closed between 3^rd Street and 2^nd Street. The closures take effect this Saturday at 8:00 am, when set-up for the Chalk Art Festival will begin.

Access will be available for residents in the areas impacted by the closures.
