A large tree trimming project will restrict traffic on a section of Washington Avenue tomorrow, Wednesday, October 17th.
Two lanes will be closed and traffic will be limited to one lane eastbound and westbound on Washington Avenue from 24th Avenue to 28th Avenue. The restriction is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 17th.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until the tree trimming is completed.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
