Victim in Shooting Being Treated at Harborview

A man who was shot on Sunday morning in the 1800 block of South 12th Avenue was transported earlier today to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. 

A 43-year-old Yakima resident, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, reportedly received a single gunshot to his neck.  He was taken by aircraft to Harborview.

Yakima police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1800 block of South 12th Avenue at about 9:10 am today (Sunday, January 20th).  When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck.

Yakima police continue to investigate the incident.  No arrests have been made at this time.
