The Yakima City Council met for a regular business meeting yesterday, Tuesday, August 15th.
Action by the Council on August 15th included:
- Discussing a draft letter to President Donald Trump regarding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and requesting changes.
- Appointing Councilmember Dulce Gutierrez to the Washington State Partnership on Juvenile Justice.
- Holding a closed record public hearing and upholding the Hearing Examiner’s decision on a proposal by Yakima Neighborhood Health Services to convert an existing commercial building into a multi-family residential development.
- Discussing neighborhood forums.
