The Yakima City Council will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, June 16th, in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street.
Agenda items for the June 16th regular meeting include:
- Receiving a COVID-19 update.
- An ordinance amending Yakima Municipal Code Section 9.25.020 to allow cruising on Yakima Avenue all Saturdays in June, July, August and September.
- Discussion of a Truth and Reconciliation process for policing.
The following precautions are in place for the June 16th meeting due to COVID-19:
- The meeting will be conducted by speakerphone.
- Since Yakima City Hall is closed to public access, no community members can attend the meeting in person.
- Two public hearings are planned at 6:00 pm during the June 16th meeting. Anyone wishing to comment during either hearing should call 571-6001 once the respective hearings are opened. There will be no other opportunity for public comment during the meeting.
- Please e-mail ccouncil2@yakimawa.gov if you wish to provide written comment to the City Council. Written comments received by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 16th, will be provided to the City Council prior to the meeting.
