Yakima City Council November 21st Business Meeting Review

The Yakima City Council held a regular business meeting yesterday, Tuesday, November 21st.

Action by the Council on November 21st included:

  • Approving an agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation to provide funding assistance for 20 new Fixed-Route transit bus shelters.
  • Renewing a contract with Yakima Humane Society for animal control services in 2018.
  • Receiving an update from Downtown Association of Yakima on 2017 events.
  • Conducting the first of two public hearings regarding the proposed 2018 City of Yakima budget

Yakima City Council meetings air live on Charter Cable Channel 194. The November 21st meeting will be replayed at 7:00 pm tonight, November 22nd. The meeting will be shown again at 9:00 am on the following Saturday and Sunday, November 25th and 26th.

The Council’s next regular business meeting will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday, December 5th. That meeting will include a 2018 budget hearing at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be in Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall, 129 North Second Street.
