The 2017 Yakima Farmers’ Market season is off and running.

Now in its 18^th year, the market opened for the 2017 season in May.  The market is open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm each Sunday through October 29^th. It is located downtown on 3^rd Street between Yakima Avenue and Chestnut Avenue.

Shoppers will find vendors offering fresh produce, original art, beautiful flowers, and mouthwatering concessions – all within a few steps of each other.

A hearty breakfast including pancakes, bacon or sausage, and eggs is served every Sunday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at the market.  Breakfast costs just $5.00.

“The Yakima Farmers’ Market is an important part of the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Yakima,” said City of Yakima Communications & Public Affairs Director Randy Beehler. “It’s a great place to see friends and neighbors and to experience the amazing produce and products from right here in the Yakima Valley. Dropping by the Yakima Farmers’ Market should become a regular part of the weekend routine.”

Special events are planned throughout the 2017 Yakima Farmers’ Market season. On July 30^th, the market will officially celebrate its 18^th anniversary.  A Kids Day is held the third Sunday of each month – the next one is August. 20^th. A special Grandparents Day event is on tap for September 10^th.
