Asphalt work will result in the early morning closure of Summitview Avenue between 40th Avenue and 39th Avenue on Friday, May 12th. Work on the project will begin at around 3:00 am and last until 8:00 am.
Due to heavy traffic volumes on Summitview Avenue, drivers can expect delays. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed. Detours around the construction site will be available.
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
