Yakima City Council Extends Declaration of Emergency

During its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 1st, the Yakima City Council extended an emergency proclamation due to COVID-19. Asphalt Replacement to Impact 72nd Avenue Traffic

An asphalt replacement project will impact traffic on a section of 72nd Avenue beginning Monday, August 31st. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on 72nd Avenue between Alpine Way and West Chestnut Avenue starting Monday and continuing through the project’s completion, which is expected to take about two weeks. Schedules set for Yellow Flashing Lights in School Zones

City of Yakima traffic operations crews have set the schedules for the operation of yellow flashing lights for school zones within the Yakima School District. The schedules will be in effect each Wednesday for meal distribution beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th. Signal Maintenance to Impact Traffic

Temporary traffic restrictions and changes will be in place tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th, for a planned traffic signal outage at 7th Avenue and West Yakima Avenue.
