City of Yakima Announces 2024 Holiday Closures

City of Yakima offices will be closed Wednesday, December 25th and Wednesday, January, 1st, in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available. The City of Yakima’s Municipal Court will be closed both days. Yakima Parks & Recreation Plans Family Hiking Adventure

Yakima Parks & Recreation is planning a Winter Family Hiking Adventure on Saturday, December 28th. Participants will meet in front of the City’s Public Works building, 2301 Fruitvale Boulevard, at 9:30 am. Yakima Transit Resumes Free Shuttle to Luminaria

Yakima Transit will again provide free shuttle bus service to the Yakima Area Arboretum Luminaria Candle-Lit Walk event on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th.  Shuttles will run from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm on both nights. Public Works Hosting Letters to Santa

Yakima Parks and Recreation is offering its fifth annual drive-thru Letters to Santa event at the City’s Public Works facility, 2301 Fruitvale Boulevard, on Saturday, December 14th, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
