Car Wash Survey to Assist City Stormwater Outreach

The City of Yakima is seeking the public’s help in preserving the natural environment through a survey of current car washing habits.

“Anonymous responses to the car wash survey will help the City in future education and outreach efforts regarding the management of wastewater from car washing,” said Communications & Public Affairs Director Randy Beehler.

The survey is available online:

The first 200 City of Yakima residents who take the survey and bring a printout or screenshot of the survey confirmation page to the (City of Yakima?) Stormwater Booth in the SunDome during the Central Washington State Fair, will receive a voucher for a free commercial car wash in Yakima. The next 500 City of Yakima residents who do the same will receive a $3 off coupon at a commercial car wash in Yakima.
