City of Yakima Investment Policy Earns Certificate of Excellence

The City of Yakima’s investment policy recently received the Certificate of Excellence from Washington Public Treasurers Association (WPTA).

City of Yakima Financial Services Manager Kimberly Domine’ will receive the certification on behalf of the city during WPTA’s annual conference in Chelan next week.

In addition, Domine’ will be formally recognized during the conference for her work in elevating the City’s policy to best-practice level and “…making its policy an example that others might emulate,” said WPTA Investment Policy Certification Chair Steve Groom. “Excellence in public treasury is furthered when we all help each other, elevating our profession and better serving our citizens and taxpayers.”

The City’s investment policy was judged by an impartial, statewide panel as meeting the high standards of the Investment Policy Certification Program.

Previously, the City of Yakima investment policy received the Certificate of Excellence in 2019.
