City of Yakima Labor Day Closures Planned

Many of the City of Yakima’s services will be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

City departments such as services located at Yakima City Hall, the Public Works facility and the Y-PAC building will be closed on Monday, September 7th, in observance of the holiday.

Yakima Transit will not provide bus service Monday.

There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on Monday, September 7th. Garbage collection service schedules by the City’s Refuse Division will be delayed by one day next week. Those with service scheduled for Friday, September 11th, will instead have their garbage picked up on Saturday, September 12th.

City of Yakima services will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th, though City buildings and facilities will remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
