Most of the City of Yakima’s services and facilities will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 2nd.
That includes City Hall, Public Works, Y-PAC, and Parks and Recreation offices.
Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available.
Yakima Transit will not provide bus service Monday.
The City’s Harman Center will be closed Saturday, August 31st, and Monday, September 2nd, for the holiday.
There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on Monday, September 2nd. Garbage collection service schedules by the City’s Refuse Division will be delayed by one day next week. Those with service scheduled for Friday, September 6th, will instead have their garbage picked up on Saturday, September 7th.
To ensure proper service, residents are asked to have their carts set out by 6:00 am.
