Weather permitting, the 2020 golfing season at the City of Yakima’s Fisher Park Golf Course will be extended two weeks.
“With our opening delayed due to COVID-19, we are going to try and stay open a little later than we have in the past,” said Recreation Supervisor Tami Andringa. “We are planning Sunday, November 15th, as the last day for the golfing season, but that will depend on the weather.”
Fisher Park Golf Course was scheduled to open March 27th, but was delayed until May 5th due to the pandemic. The golf season typically closes at the end of October.
The course is located at 823 South 40th Avenue, across from Eisenhower High School.
The typical hours of operation are 8:00 am to dusk, with final tee time at 4:15 pm. However, that is subject to change with the season. “As the mornings get colder, the frost may stay on the greens longer which means opening times may vary depending on the weather,” Andringa said.
