The City of Yakima’s Franklin Pool is closed today, Friday, due to unhealthy air quality caused by smoke from wildfires in the region, in particular the Schneider Springs Fire.

The Air Quality Index for the Yakima area currently exceeds 300, which is considered hazardous.
