Thanks to additional staffing, the City of Yakima Franklin Pool is resuming evening recreational swim sessions beginning tonight, Wednesday, August 4th.
Evening swim sessions are scheduled for 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
The pool had canceled evening swim sessions last month due to staffing shortages.
Capacity at Franklin Pool is limited to 50 percent, about 200 swimmers, due to COVID-19 precautions.
The swim season at Franklin Pool is scheduled to continue through Saturday, August 21st.
Franklin Pool’s season finale for 2021 will be the annual Paws in the Pool event from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 22nd. Dogs swim for free. Owners pay the general admission fee. Pet owners must make sure their dogs are current on all shots and vaccinations. They are also responsible for cleaning up any messes their dogs make. No vicious or aggressive dogs are permitted. Dogs must be leashed until inside the pool area.
