Drivers are encouraged to avoid the intersection of 16th Avenue and Tieton Drive through August 9th while a grind and overlay paving project is underway.

City of Yakima crews will be working at the busy intersection from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. Traffic is being restricted to one lane each way with left turns being limited or prohibited at times. Drivers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. If possible, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes until the project is completed.

As always, the schedule for street and traffic projects is subject to change daily, dependent on weather, equipment failure and emergencies.
