Grind and Overlay Project to Impact Traffic on Nob Hill and Washington

This project rebuilds and improves various street segments throughout the city.    Work includes pavement repair, planing bituminous pavement, paving with hot mix asphalt, constructing ADA ramps and pavement markings.  The overall project is scheduled to be completed in 90 working days, which extends the project into late October, 2013.

Roadway grinding and roadway paving will occur Wednesday and Thursday nights.    This work and roadway closures will be as follow:

Wednesday July 10th

For roadway grinding activities, Nob Hill Blvd will be closed to all traffic from the Overpass west of 1st Street, easterly to Fair Avenue;  this includes the closure of the 1st Street & Nob Hill Blvd intersection and 1st Street immediately adjacent to Nob Hill   Blvd.

The 6th   Street intersection at Nob Hill Blvd will remain open for traffic detours.

Thursday July 11th

For roadway paving activities, Nob Hill Blvd will be closed to all traffic from the Overpass west of 1st Street, easterly to 6th Street;  this includes the closure of the 1st Street & Nob Hill Blvd intersection and 1st street immediately adjacent to Nob Hill Blvd.  Closure will be in place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

For roadway grinding AND paving activities, Washington Avenue from Nob Hill Blvd. will be closed to all traffic from 1st Street, easterly to 14th Street;

Closure will be in place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Detours will be in place both days to redirect traffic.

Motorists and Pedestrians are advised to be aware of heavy equipment.

Please use alternate routes when you can.
