Historic North Front Street to Host Free Halloween Spooktacular

Free family fun will be on tap during the inaugural “Spooktacular” Halloween celebration being hosted by North Front Street Improvement Association on Saturday, October 31st from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The Historic North Front Street District will be full of activities and events including face painting, roller derby exhibitions by Yakima’s own Wine County Crushers, and tricks and treats provided by local service clubs and businesses. World-famous comedy hypnotist and magician Maritess Zurbano will perform two hilarious and entertaining shows – at 3:45 pm and 4:15 pm.

Everyone is encouraged to come dressed in their finest Halloween costumes. Spooktacular prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories during the event.

“We wanted to provide a safe and fun Halloween environment for families while also contributing to the growing number of events in Downtown Yakima,” said North Front Street Improvement Association President Dave Tompkins. “We’re looking forward to welcoming people to the Historic North Front Street District and them having a Spooktacular time.”

Anyone wanting more information about the event should contact Tompkins at 930-9968.
