Intersection improvements will result in traffic impacts in and around the intersection of Nob Hill Boulevard and 18th Street beginning on November 9th. The project, which includes replacement of ADA ramps and curbs and gutters along with the installation of accessible crossing push buttons and pavement markings, is scheduled to be completed by mid-December.
As a result of the project, alternating single lane closures will occur while the work is underway.
Drivers should expect other localized traffic and parking impacts in the area and are encouraged to slow down and proceed cautiously through the work zone.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
Funding for the project comes from the Washington State Department of Transportation’s 2024 City Safety Program through the Federal Highway Administration’s Highway Safety Improvement Program.
