An overnight closure of the Nob Hill Boulevard/16th Avenue intersection will be required for an ongoing street project. The intersection will close at 7:00 pm this Thursday, July 20th, and re-open 6:00 am Friday, July 21st.
The project to grind and overlay Nob Hill Boulevard from 13th Avenue to 29th Avenue began on June 26th and is expected to last until mid-October.
Access to properties in the project area are being maintained as best as possible.
In addition to this Thursday’s overnight closure at Nob Hill Boulevard and 16th Avenue, drivers are reminded that intermittent lane closures continue in the project area during work hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays.
The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.
