A project to repair a leak in a City of Yakima irrigation line will impact traffic in the area of the intersection of 5th Avenue and Tieton Drive for most of the day on Tuesday, June 11th.
While work is underway, eastbound traffic on Tieton Drive between 7th Avenue and 5th Avenue may be reduced to one lane or otherwise altered to accommodate the project. Crews will begin making repairs to the irrigation line at about 7:00 am on June 11th and anticipate completing work by 4:00 pm that day.
Drivers can expect delays in the project area. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zone within the city of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
Access to businesses and homes in the project area will be maintained as best as possible. Emergency vehicles, buses, and refuse service vehicles will be allowed through the project areas when necessary.
As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
