Lane closures for a 2-block stretch of Lincoln Avenue continue next week for an ongoing stormwater project.
Lincoln Avenue continues to be one lane each direction today, Thursday, and Friday between 34th Avenue and 36th Avenue during project work hours of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm each day. Lincoln will be open without restrictions this weekend, however lane closures resume next Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 13-15, during project work hours.
Also as part of this stormwater project, 35th Avenue continues to be closed to all traffic on the north side of Lincoln Avenue during project work hours. This closure is in place today, Friday and Saturday and will resume Monday through Friday next week.
Access is being maintained for properties in the area as well as emergency vehicles.
The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.
