The City of Yakima’s Lions Pool is hosting an “April Pools Day” event from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 6th.
“Every year, many pools around the state host April Pools Day events for families and community members,” said Parks and Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson. “Our hope is that bringing this free event to the City of Yakima will encourage community members to stay safe in the water this spring and summer.”
April Pools Day includes a combination of water safety activities and free swim time. The water safety training will cover life jacket use, boating safety, elementary rescues and hypothermia awareness.
April Pools Day will conclude with a raffle for free life jackets, free swim lessons and other prizes.
