Community members can keep in shape and help hungry families during a recreational swim program at the City of Yakima’s Lions Pool, 509 West Pine Street.

The holiday recreation swimming program is 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm from Monday, December 17^th, through Friday, December 21^st. Each swimmer who brings a non-perishable food item during that time will gain free admittance to the pool.

“It’s an opportunity for people to maintain a healthy workout regimen during Winter Break,” said Recreation Program Supervisor Jason Zeller. “At the same time, their non-perishable food donations will help support hungry families this holiday season.”
