Manhole Cover Replacement at 9th Avenue and Nob Hill to impact Traffic

A project to replace a manhole cover in the intersection of 9th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard will impact traffic in the area near the intersection for most of the morning on Wednesday, August 10th.

City of Yakima Wastewater Division crews will be working on the project between 6:00 am and 12:00 pm on August 10th.  As a result of the project, the eastbound, outside lane of Nob Hill Boulevard between 7th Avenue and 9th Avenue will be closed while the work is underway.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information about this project, contact Wastewater Collections Supervisor Bob Brown at 406-7103.
