Municipal Court Lifts Mask Requirement for Fully Vaccinated

Effective Tuesday, July 13th, City of Yakima Municipal Court will no longer require masks for those who are fully vaccinated.

Unvaccinated persons are encouraged to continue to wear masks while attending court. Masks will be available at security stations. Hand sanitizer is available in the courtrooms.

Also beginning Tuesday, social distancing will no longer be required and the public will be able to personally attend court. As a result, the court will no longer offer live streaming to the public.

On June 30th, Governor Jay Inslee lifted the COVID-19 restrictions in Washington state. Yakima Municipal Court has modified its court process accordingly.

Any changes to Yakima Municipal Court proceedings will be published in future news releases issued by the City of Yakima.
