Swimmers both human and canine are invited to the 17th annual Paws in the Pool event from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 20th at the City of Yakima’s Franklin Pool, 2101 Tieton Drive.
Yakima Parks and Recreation organizes the event for dogs and their owners each summer on the last day of operation at Franklin Pool. Dogs swim for free but their owners pay the general admission fee.
- All dog breeds, shapes and sizes are welcome.
- Pet owners must make sure their dogs are current on all shots and vaccinations.
- They are also responsible for cleaning up any messes their dogs make.
- No vicious or aggressive dogs are permitted.
- Dogs must be leashed until inside the pool area.
During Paws in the Pool, donations will be accepted for the Yakima Humane Society.
