Power System Work at 24th Avenue and Nob Hill to Affect Drivers

Traffic signals at the intersection of 24th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard will be shut down temporarily during the morning on Thursday, October 6th for about three hours while electrical cables near that location are rerouted.

Pacific Power crews will be working on rerouting cables near that intersection from 6:00 am until about 9:00 am on October 6th.  While the work is underway, the signals at the 24th Avenue and Nob Hill intersection will not be working.  Flaggers will be in place to help drivers navigate through the intersection.  Drivers should be especially attentive while traveling through the project area.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
