Power Work to Impact Traffic at Washington and Cornell Intersection

A project involving improvements to part of the system used to deliver electricity to local homes and businesses will result in daytime traffic delays at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Cornell Avenue on Monday, April 24th.

Crews from a Pacific Power contractor will be transferring power in the area, which will result in the traffic signals at the Washington and Cornell intersection going dark on April 24th from 10:00 am to noon.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information about this project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 576-6430.
