Project to Widen 64th Avenue Will Result in Detour

A project to widen 64th Avenue between Nob Hill Boulevard and Tieton Drive is expected to last from Monday, March 3rd until mid to late June.  In addition to the roadway being widened, new curbs, gutters, and sidewalks with be installed.  A stormwater system will also be built and new street lights will be put in place along the roadway.

While the project is underway, 64th   Avenue will be closed between Nob Hill and Tieton.  Drivers will be directed to a detour route that will utilize 72nd   Avenue to the west and 48th Avenue to the east between Nob Hill and Tieton.

Access to the Westwood West Golf Course parking lot on the corner of 64th Avenue and Tieton will be maintained throughout the project as will access to the HAPO Credit Union parking lot on the corner of 64th and Nob Hill.

Granite Construction will be the primary contractor for the project.

During the project, traffic delays in the immediate area near 64th Avenue may occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily, dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
