A section of Powerhouse Road is closed from today, Monday, August 2nd, through the end of the month for sewer main installation and road surface rebuild.
Powerhouse Road is closed from Pecks Canyon Road to Cowiche Canyon Road. Signs will be posted directing drivers to detour around the project area via U.S. Highway 12.
The project area will only be open to local traffic. Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
The speed limit for local traffic through the work area is 20 miles per hour.
The project may cause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection. Customers may contact the City of Yakima Refuse Division at 575-6005 with any questions or concerns.
As always, schedules for these types of projects are subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
