The 44th Avenue parking lot at the City of Yakima’s Randall Park re-opens today, Monday, Oct. 1st.
The parking lot had been closed for improvements that include resurfacing and additional parking spaces.
“There is still some work to complete on the parking lot lights and landscaping, but the lot is open for use starting today,” said Parks and Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson.
Motorists will notice a difference with the improvements made to the parking lot.
“The asphalt in the old parking lot was very thin and broken in many places with pot holes,” Wilkinson said.
