Yakima Parks & Recreation is launching a new summer day camp at Miller Park (502 N. 4th Street) this year. The day camp will feature a variety of activities for kids from 5 to 12 years old Mondays through Thursdays from July 10th through August 18th.
“This is the first year for the Miller Park Summer Day Camp and we are excited to be able to offer such a great program for kids and families in our community,” said Yakima Parks & Recreation Manager Ken Wilkinson. “It can sometimes be challenging to keep kids engaged during summertime. The Miller Park Day Camp offers an opportunity for kids to have a safe, professionally supervised, and fun place to go this summer,” said Wilkinson. “We’re confident it will be a big success.”
The cost for kids to be part of the Miller Park Summer Day Camp is only $30 for the entire six-week camp. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day of the camp, kids will get the chance to play outdoor games, be part of treasure hunts, wear fun outfits on dress-up days, learn social skills and team building, and be part of many other amazing experiences. Lunch will be provided each day of the camp by the Yakima School District.
Registration for the Miller Park Summer Day Camp is open now. Campers can be registered at the Yakima Parks & Recreation office located at 2301 Fruitvale Boulevard. Space is limited, so get your camper registered today.
