A two-block section of Occidental Road will be closed to all traffic for most of the day on both July 7th and July 8th while crews repair and repave the street.
Occidental between 68th Avenue and 70th Avenue will be closed from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm on both Monday, July 7th and Tuesday, July 8th while the project is underway. Detour routes will be marked at 80th Avenue and Coolidge Road on the western end of the project and at 64th Avenue on the eastern end of the project.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.
Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
