A road improvement project will continue to impact traffic along several blocks of 32^nd Avenue from Monday, August 8^th through Thursday, August 11^th.

Originally begun on August 1^st, the project is taking place on 32^nd Avenue between Tieton Drive and Arlington Street and involves removing old and deteriorated asphalt and repaving that section of the street.

Work on the project will continue to take place between 6:00 am and 3:30 pm each day from August 8^th through August 11^th. While the project is underway, the section of 32^nd Avenue between Tieton Drive and Arlington Street will be closed to traffic.  Detour routes around the project area will be available and will be marked with appropriate signage.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
