Crews from Granite Construction will begin work on Tuesday, October 20th making permanent road repairs to a portion of East “I” Street that was heavily damaged by a water main break in late August.
During the construction work, the westbound lane of “I” Street will be closed to traffic at North 1st Street.
The eastbound lane of “I” Street be closed at Front Street during the day from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, but open to traffic at night.
Detour routes will be clearly marked and local access to nearby businesses will be maintained as best as possible. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible.
The project is expected to be completed by Friday, October 23rd.
As always, schedules for these types of projects are subject to change because of weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
