The northbound lane of 48th Avenue will be closed for most of each day from Tuesday, August 22nd through Thursday, August 24th while work is being done to replace a parking lot at a City of Yakima park.
Work on the project will occur each day from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm from August 22nd through August 24th. The northbound lane of 48th Avenue between Washington Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard will be closed during those hours.
The closure is taking place in order to accommodate demolition and removal of asphalt from a parking lot that serves Randall Park. The existing lot along 48th Avenue is being removed and will be replaced with a new, larger parking lot.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.
Access to homes in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
