The 1700 block of South 8^th Avenue will be closed to traffic Monday, November 20^th, so crews can install a new sewer service crossing.

The closure will be in effect during project work hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday. Access to all properties in the project area will be available via intersections from the north and south ends of the 1700 block of South 8^th Avenue.

The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour. 

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.
