Sewer Line Repair Will Impact Traffic on Section of Nob Hill

On Wednesday, July 31st from 7:00 am until about 6:00 pm, traffic on the section of Nob Hill   Boulevard between 22nd Avenue and 24th Avenue will be disrupted while work is underway to repair a broken City of Yakima sewer line.

Traffic on that section of Nob Hill will be reduced to one lane in each direction while crews from Ken Leingang Excavating, a Yakima-based contracting firm, and City Wastewater Division workers make repairs to the sewer line.

During the project, traffic delays in the area near Nob Hill between 22nd Avenue and 24th Avenue will occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For additional information regarding this project, contact Wastewater Collections Supervisor Marc Cawley at 594-8388.
