With completion of a sewer main extension project, a section of Fair Avenue will be closed to traffic tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10th, to repave the roadway.
Fair Avenue will be closed between Tennant Lane and Lindy Lane from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday.
Work on Fair Avenue sewer main extension began the week of April 24th and is scheduled to conclude tomorrow with paving.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
