A project to repair an aging storm line will impact traffic on a section of South 16th Avenue next week.
Traffic on South 16th Avenue will be limited to one lane in each direction between West Nob Hill Boulevard and West Prasch Avenue starting Tuesday, April 19th through Friday, April 22nd. Traffic restrictions will be in place during project work hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
The general contractor for the project is Ken Leingang Excavating, Inc. of Yakima.
Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
