Stormwater Maintenance Project to Impact Traffic on Plath Avenue

A stormwater maintenance project will impact traffic on a section of Pleasant Avenue from Tuesday, May 15th through Thursday, May 17th.

As a result of the project, Plath Avenue will be closed between 16th Avenue and 17th Avenue until the project is completed.  The southbound, outside lane of 16th Avenue from Logan Avenue to Mead Avenue will also be closed from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm each day while the project is ongoing.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For more information about the project, contact Wastewater Collections Supervisor Bob Brown at 406-7103.
