Stormwater Pipe Repair to Impact Traffic at 9th Avenue and Spokane Street

A project to repair a stormwater pipe will result in traffic restrictions on through the intersection of 9th Avenue and Spokane Street for most of each day on Wednesday, June 14th and Thursday, June 15th.

As a result of the project, no eastbound or westbound traffic will be allowed through the 9th Avenue and Spokane Street intersection from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm on June 14th and June 15th.  Northbound and southbound traffic will be allowed through the intersection while the project is underway.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.

As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
