Street repair work will result the temporary closure of a section of 8^th Street from April 3^rd through April 14^th.  City of Yakima crews will be removing old asphalt along the section of 8^th Street between Yakima Avenue and Walnut Street and replacing it with new asphalt.

The section of 8^th Street between Yakima Avenue and Walnut will be closed to through traffic while the work is underway.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
