A traffic signal upgrade will impact the intersection of 40^th Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard for about two hours tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 9^th.

The 40^th Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard traffic signal will be out from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday so City crews can add battery backup capabilities to the cabinet at the intersection.

The intersection will be flashing red for up to 30 minutes with a brief period of total darkness as the power feed is changed over. There will be stop signs and/or police officers present to assist with traffic flow.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
