Yakima Avenue will be one lane westbound between 6th Street and Naches Avenue tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15th, from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm for a tree removal project.
The tree is being removed because it is causing damage to the adjacent sidewalk.
Access to properties in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the project area, if possible.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure and emergencies.
