Tree Trimming Project to Close 32nd Avenue

A section of 32nd Avenue will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 6th, so City of Yakima crews can trim trees that are causing sight restrictions for traffic.

The tree trimming project will close 32nd Avenue in both directions between Lincoln Avenue and Englewood Avenue. Work will begin at 9:00 am tomorrow and last until around 1:00 pm.

During the project, flaggers will be posted at Lincoln Avenue and Englewood Avenue.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.

Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

For more information about the project, contact Streets and Traffic Operations Manager Joe Rosenlund at 509-576-6430.
