Wastewater Line Installation Project Will Close Tieton Drive Section

Beginning on Sunday, June 9th, Tieton Drive between 38th Avenue and 40th Avenue will be closed overnight Sunday through Thursday for each of the next three weeks while a new wastewater line is installed.

That section of Tieton Drive will be closed to all through traffic from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am Sunday through Thursday while the project is underway.

Crews from TTC Construction, a Yakima-based contracting firm, will be installing an 8-inch sanitary sewer line to provide enhanced service to the area.

Intermittent lane closures may also occur during daytime hours while the project is ongoing in order to accommodate concrete cure times and trench work.

During the project, traffic delays in the area of Tieton Drive between 38th Avenue and 40th Avenue will occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.
